The Holy Devil Nephalem

An ally and enemy to both angels and devils. Nephalem watches over the balance of good vs evil and intervenes only if one side steps out of line. He cares not for their battles and their consequences for the upper and lower planes, however if one side does anything that could cause issues for mortals or other beings not directly involved in that war, then he steps in. Not holy enough to be granted entrance through the pearly gates, but also not wicked enough to be condemned to the flames, he lives a mostly quiet life disguised as a mortal.
