Maedhros casts himself in the fiery chasm (Silmarillion)

Maedhros was a prince of the Ñoldor, the eldest of the seven Sons of Fëanor and head of the House of Fëanor following the death of his father in Middle-earth. He was extraordinarily renowned for his skills as warrior and diplomat. For hundreds of years, he led his House against the forces of Morgoth, was captured and tortured by Morgoth and lost his right hand, still became extraordinary skilled lefthand swordsman, fought and holded back Morgoth's troops for many hundred years, but the Oath that he and his six brothers had sworn to recover the Silmarils constrained him and ultimately led to his death... When he and his brother finally regain the jewels, they burned Maglor's and Maedhros' hands. Unable to bear the suffering, Maedhros cast himself and the Silmaril he carried into a fiery chasm in the Earth...

Originally he had dark-red hair and green eyes, with no right wrist, but it was quite challenging to fulfill, I'm still working on it:)
