ANCIENT RUINS OF THE GIANTS (Day 15 of 20)
"They were walking on a broad, flat stone pavement... and all around them rose huge shapes of grey stone."
— C.S. Lewis, The Silver Chair
Eustace and Jill standing in the heart of the City Ruinous, the ancient ruins of the giants from The Silver Chair. The two young travelers look tiny against the monumental, crumbling architecture of a long-dead civilization. Colossal stone arches, massive pillars, and endless flights of giant-sized stairs tower into the misty sky. A low fog weaves through the fractured, cobblestone plazas and ruined temples, while soft sunlight cuts through the heavy mountain clouds above. The scene perfectly captures the eerie, awe-inspiring silence of a forgotten empire built for beings of mythic proportions.
