Braids of Time

Elowen "Wen" Two Rivers was born beneath a sky that never stopped turning, where time unraveled in spirals and stitched itself back together in ways only the old ones could understand. Her two braids were more than just tradition—they were anchors, binding her to the past and the future, weaving her into the ever-shifting fabric of Timeland. She could hear whispers in the wind that spoke of things yet to come, see tracks in the dirt that hadn't been walked yet, feel the echoes of horses that had never run. As the iron roads stretched across her people’s land and the sun set in strange hues, Wen knew one truth: time was a river, but she would decide which way to ride the current.
