I believe the SDXL models ignore the artists. SD models are much better to get artist style, but the overall quality is worse. I mean bad anatomy, detached/missing/additional limbs, and I don't wanna even start with the fingers.
Sometimes I use good SDXL as starting image and I add artists evolving it with SD models. But the faces become warped and fingers just awful.
