The Vanyar Elves

The Vanyar were fair-skinned and considered the noblest of the Eldar—everything they did was exceptionally devout and virtuous. They were distinguished from other Elves by their characteristic golden or honey-colored hair, which was greatly admired by the Ñoldor, who considered gold the most beautiful of all metals.

The Vanyar were regarded as the principal kindred among the elves, as they were the first to awaken by the waters of Cuiviénen. They were characterized by their immaculate love and reverence for the Valar, as well as their noble and compassionate nature.
