Starscrapers

Skyscrapers are small potatoes in the far future - you’ll get only the most meager clout from even the 250th floor, a whole kilometer up. The real bigwigs brag on apartments between the 450th and 500th floor, at heights of 1.8 to 2 km, as if they were living in the stars. These lofty perches are only possible thanks to the recent advent of construction-scale vapor deposition chamber and the high-entropy alloys they produce. Better hope you’re not afraid of heights!
