Thank you.  The link I posted is still awaiting moderation, but I assume you found the song?  He originally wrote it as a humorous homage to the children in the school where he taught.  He exactly nailed the patois spoken in the suburbs immediately to the south of the centre of Johannesburg with a strong ethnically and culturally Portuguese community.  He performed it in a musical production called Just a Minim, but it was banned by SA broadcast services for reasons that are no more obvious than many of the other things done by gubmint at the time.  Despite that, LM Radio, a very popular music radio station broadcasting from erstwhile Lourenço Marques (now Maputo, Mozambique), ensured that it became hugely popular.
