Rhonda: “Okay, um . . . I was faster in a straight-line but you had more speed and traction in the turns. Were you running more downforce than me?”
Sabine: “Bingo! What else?”
Rhonda: “It was impossible to stay in your slipstream when you were ahead on Mulsanne. Every time I tucked in, you’d move just enough to put dirty air on me. My car would get a little wiggly. I got no advantage there. And, I led the most laps, but you won. You stayed close and then got past in the last turn where I didn’t have the traction to defend. If it had been further to the line, I would have repassed, but you probably had that figured. So, . . . you don’t have to lead the most laps, just the last one. [pauses] So was this another lesson?”
Sabine: “Yes, …but did you have fun?”
Rhonda: “TONS!”
