Dear Urban Racoon,

I would like to share a positive perspective in support of face-covered representation in the gallery.

I also live with a veiled face, and for me this choice is strongly connected to anonymity, protection, and self-determination. Covering the face creates a clear boundary: I decide how much of myself is visible, and what remains private.

In a gallery context, this has powerful effects. A covered face:

protects identity and reduces objectification,

allows models and characters to exist without personal exposure,

shifts attention to styling, posture, and atmosphere,

and creates a calm, confident presence that does not rely on facial display.

Anonymity here is not absence — it is control. It gives strength, safety, and a quiet authority that feels very contemporary and respectful.

I believe this approach adds depth and integrity to the work.
