The Oort cloud is a hypothetical region at the far reaches of our solar system, believed to be a spherical cloud of icy debris. It's thought to be composed mostly of frozen water, methane, and ammonia, along with some rocky material.
The Oort cloud is 0.03 to 3.2 light years from earth, so exploration will be left to our more solid state companions.
