They were at the beach! Why would she miss this opportunity. Sure the water was cold and it wasn't very warm outside either, but she could warm up when she was done and got back in the car. And eventually everything she was wearing would dry. She didn't hesitate playing in the waves, trying to dodge getting wet but ending up completely soaked to the skin. She stayed along the shore for a good while till she decided she really was pretty cold and headed to the car to warm up.
