This is named after a phenomenon, also known as "star jelly", that is a substance as yet to be clearly identified. The name itself has an interesting, succinct translation that I loved the sound of.
A Film Noir seemed fitting, kind of like a "Color Out of Space" situation? I dunno; I like the end result.
