I think there's far more than one. Nessie is in Scotland and here in BC, we have one too. Ogopogo, our prehistoric whatever-it-is lives in Okanagan Lake, up in the interior of BC. About 25 years back, my middle son who was just a boy then called me loudly from the bathroom where he was supposed to be taking a bath. He said there was some kind of monster-lizard like thing in the tub. I told him to stop being silly and just take his bath. But his voice grew louder and sounded a little scared so I went to check on him. He was right! There in the tub was what looked like a miniature version of Nessie! 😳 It was only at most maybe 10 cm long.
