A is for APPLE (polyphonic prose story)

All the other apples were as expected, except for the one. No one was sure what was really going on. Why not the usual red, green, or gold? Maybe, the apple got too cold. Maybe, the apple got too old, and that colour was caused by mildew and mold. Something changed it's colour that way. Could it just be some canned blue paint spray? No, it was really a very blue apple... the only one of its kind. There's not another apple, not like this one, you could find. That's how it grew, and the farmer didn't know what he should do? Maybe, it was the start of something new. Perhaps, more apples will begin turning blue. The neighbours thought scientists would know, just why an apple is such a beautiful indigo. That blue wasn't caused by the farmer's green thumb. It should be in a museum, as it could be amusing to some. No one would eat it, it may not taste right; or maybe, with just one little bite, you might turn blue too... looking quite an awful blue fright.
