Hallway to The End of Time

Were these doors open or closed? If you look closely at the doors you notice that when they are both closed in front like double doors you don't know how many doors the hallway has.

But when you open the double doors it opens a section of the hallway but closes the room to the sides. As you travel down the Hallway you can open a door at anytime but you can never shut it. Unless by opening both doors in the same section of hallway, you can not longer go backward those doors no longer move. But their rooms are stuck open forever.
