She had always felt a connection to nature, a longing for the green and the wild. She had grown up in the city, surrounded by concrete and noise, but she had never felt at home there. She had dreamed of escaping, of living a simpler life, closer to the earth.

She had read about the wood nymphs, the ancient spirits of the forest, who danced and sang and lived in harmony with nature. She had wished she could be one of them, to shed her human skin and become a part of the woods.

She had felt her eyes change color, becoming brighter and more expressive. She had looked around, seeing everything in a new light.

She had swum to the waterfall, feeling its power and its grace. She had screamed, but not in pain. In ecstasy.

She had returned to nature.

She had become a wood nymph.
