What a captivating use of watercolor! The first image is so emotionally evocative; the scene seems to be crafted from rising clouds, as the gentle brushstrokes blend and surround the sunlight toward which this woman rises. The way this image seems to sweep from bottom left to top right - from ethereal blues drifting coldly, mingling with the grays and greens, to the light, surrounded by these gorgeous warm hues, brilliant white and golden and orange and red - is wonderfully uplifting and powerful, as is this image, in the hope and determination it expresses. I am in love with the second image, too, as this girl stands and faces this world that is at the same time terrifying and beautiful, full of fear and possibility.
