This leaf looks like a night sky. Maybe that's a deep metaphor about how there's a whole galaxy's worth of life in such a little leaf and blah blah blah, and that's all well and good, but I like to think that... it's just because they're equally as fascinating, galaxies and nature.
You can probably tell from my art, but I love nature, and plants. I love plants, and raising them has really helped me pull myself out of my depression, especially during the wintertime.
As I went up to my room tonight I saw a shadow on the wall of one of the branches of my inch plant, and I noticed how big the shadow was. I looked at it and I thought "I did that. It takes up that much space because I helped it. I did that. If I hadn't consistently watered it and made sure it had a nice pot, it would have died."
It might sound silly to you, but my inch plant- whose name is Kimchi- is my world. Even in the winter when I get sad, she still grows and thrives.
If that's not inspiration, what is?
