Sima's reading lesson - The Nasarij part 3

When Sima asked the woman at the desk where she was and what would happen next, she was met with a warm smile.

"Sima," the woman said calmly, "you are welcome here—in the intermediate plane of crystalline intelligence. Please don't be alarmed, everything is perfectly fine. Take your time and absorb everything. It always takes time for the mind to grasp what touches it. Make yourself comfortable. Seelia will bring you something to read. In it, you will learn more about the crystals and this plane. And if you need anything, just let me know."

With a friendly nod, she ended the conversation. As a faint blinking sound began at her desk, she turned back to the shimmering monitors and waved goodbye to Sima.

Thoughtfully, Sima returned to the sofa. No sooner had she sat down than Seelia appeared with a stack of books in her arms.

"Reading," she said softly, "calms the mind and opens new realms at the same time." Sima would instinctively know when the next step was possible.
