Committed

She couldn't believe they had scheduled the game so early. Didn't they know people have to work, she thought. But it was a tournament so she scheduled a long lunch so she could be sure to make it to the game. She hadn't been there long when the rain started. She thought about running back to the car, was there even an umbrella in there or was it still in her bag at the office? She thought maybe it would blow over or was just a bit of drizzle. But it wasn't long before it began to intensify. She knew they wouldn't pause the game unless there was lighting and with no where to take cover and still see the game, she gave in to reality realizing there was no chance she wasn't going to be dripping wet when the game was done. She was committed to watching the game till the end. So she stood there in the pouring rain think she'd actually be enjoying this if she didn't have to go back to work for a 3:30 meeting!
