Hero and the Gray Ooze

Beware of these stone-colored blobs of acidic slime! Smart adventurers won't touch them with a ten-foot pole; those foolish enough to try find themselves with only a five foot pole and a well-fed ooze. By the time the shock at the sheer corrosiveness of these creatures wears off, the thing has usually replicated itself and surrounded you; many a brave hero has been overcome by such overwhelming odds. Fortunately, they do not possess any significant intelligence, and act only on instinct.
