Shannon grew up surrounded by Newfoundlands while her parents worked the waters of the Labrador Sea in fishing and water rescues.
These gentle, empathetic, highly affectionate giants quickly stole her heart even as a young child. Once she became old enough, Shannon received her first Newfoundland puppy, Julian.
As to be expected, they became fast friends. Her parent would half-jokingly refer them as each other's soul-mates to those who would ask.
Even to this day, Shannon has never owned another dog breed nor will she ever do so.
