Finding a safe spot with Godrick’s men, Pfluger assessed the situation tactically.
“Dang ol’ how many’a them boys ya see out there, Sister? Talkin’ ’bout how many we dealin’ with, man?” Pfluger asked.
“Five!” Helena exclaimed.
“Dang ol’ gonna need reinforcements, man, talkin’ ’bout right dang now, pronto!” said Pfluger.
“Everyone’s too far away from us! Unless…”
The Jaffa came into firing range. Helena reached for her comms.
“Helena to Larkin. Come in,” the Carmelite said while activating her Zat.
“Larkin here.”
“Sir, Pfluger and I have encountered another squad of Jaffa near the Stargate. Requesting backup from the SGC.”
The Jaffa began to fire their staff weapons at their position. Pfluger fired his P90 at their enemy. Godrick’s men fired their arrows as well.
“Very well. One team for now,” Larkin replied.
“Aye sir.”
The Stargate began to activate from offworld.

“Incoming wormhole!” Helena cried.
Moments later the Stargate kawooshed from behind the shield.
“I’m receiving the SGC’s IDC. Deactivating the shield.” Upon hearing the words “SGC” Pfluger activated his comms.
“Dang ol’ SGC, man, y’all better pick up, talkin’ ’bout big old snake-head firefight out here by the Gate, man, dem boys got the staff weapons goin’ pew-pew, dang ol’ trees explodin’ man—”
“Unidentified caller, this is General Carter. Please identify yourself and speak clearly,” General Carter said calmly.
“Yessum, Ma’am. Chief Petty Officer Pfluger, Seabees, dang ol’ SG-24 planet, man—talkin’ ’bout Jaffa everywhere, big shiny helmets, staff weapons, whole dang medieval village fixin’ ta get toast!”
