Title: The Explorer or The Stalker

Chaos Theory’s main voice of reason. Dr Wright only appears psychically in chapters 9 and beyond. He however has a powerful presence in the background through David Jones, his protégé and former student. 

He is a biologist by trade, and taught at Evergreen University for many years. He is the overall most intelligent character. 

Nigel has a unique role in the storyline, serving as the moral compass, and the main source of supernatural knowledge. He was the one who knew Erebus was sealed inside a book, as he searched for the book for many years thinking it had the key to resurrection. 

His reasoning being: he wanted to revive his deceased wife Miriam, as she died during childbirth leaving him and their child alone. Nigel was emotionally unprepared to be a father although he ended up being a good one.

He is one of the few who receive a happy ending. And is the main character in “The Excursion”.
