Years ago, I watched an old Tarzan TV episode where an orphaned blind girl had been living out in the jungle for years with only a pet lion to take care of her. (Or, from the lion's point of view, he may have had a pet human. Since he couldn't talk, we'll never know just how he viewed the relationship.) Seeing this young lady snuggled up against her lion, obviously not the least bit afraid of him, reminds me of that episode, for obvious reasons.
