It was a French action-horror film, released in the early 2000s I think.  The original title is Le Pacte des Loups…it’s an odd film…part costume drama, part Sherlock Holmes mystery, set in 18th Century France.  It’s an imaginative retelling of the legend of the Beast of Gévaudan, in which everyone (French aristocrats, French peasants, and one Iroquois fighter) all seem to have Chinese Kung fu skills.  10/10 would recommend!!
