Imperial Quaestor Guyen Irulan rescues Wyld Elleden

Orvo Bosran sat still as death as his blackguard slew the giant scorpion and moved in to subdue to Elleden. A yunche lizard came charging over the hill in a plume of dust and the silver knight struck out left and right with his twin silver swords, heads sailing into the air to land with a thunk on the parched earth.

Seizing a crossbow from one foe as he toppled, he deftly felled another, but a bolt of black lightning from the undead warlock sent his mount sprawling and Irulan was thrown.

The dust began to slowly settle as Bosran circled the carnage, hearing more screams from his soldiers as their mounts panicked and fled, to find Wyld Elleden and her mysterious rescuer were gone, a plume of dust marking their egress.

Bosran's red eyes flared furiously, but he turned his mount to return to The Dark Academy alone, and face the wrath of Geis Gaulon for this unexpected failure.
