To most peoples knowledge, General Vail died in the Battle of Red Waters. Those who fought under his command and lived that day swear they saw him struck to death.

However several moons later, an open ceremony was held in the capital city of Icopolis, celebrating the general’s “ascension and anointment of highest honour”. And the general himself was at the heart of it.

Only… he did not speak a word. And he radiated with an aura unlike any man. Both in awe and shock, the people were as much in fear in his presence as they were humbled.

As he rose his hand in the air, his armor shining with a godly flaming light, the skies cleared and the sun shone brighter. The people rejoiced, for all they knew he was blessed in a similar holiness as the Emperor.

Behind the ember glow gleaming from inside his helmet, the general’s eyes were no longer there. His rotting remains had halted from decomposing, now held together and empowered by powers beyond mortal reach.

Change was about to come.
