THE PORTAL TO NARNIA (Day 7 of 20)
"The things in the picture were moving... A great blue wave rose up, its white crest broke, and real water came pouring out over the frame."
— C.S. Lewis, The Voyage of The Dawn Treader
The painting comes to life because portals in the Narnia universe open unpredictably whenever Aslan requires the children's help. Eustace is frantically trying to smash the picture to stop the flooding, but there is no stopping what happens next.
Eustace and his cousins, Lucy and Edmund, will find themselves in the Narnian ocean, staring up at the massive golden dragon prow of the real Dawn Treader as it sails up to rescue them.
