The Manticore of the Andrevos Wilderness

Listratha Bailiwick found succor with the Green Man, he grew saturated mushrooms with just a slow wave of his hand that were delicious. He said very little, but pointed to a riven mountain when asked of the Forge of Souven.

Lis continued on her trek, walking and checking for signs of pursuit, but after a couple of days, she took a more leisurely pace, seeing nothing. Then as dawn broke, she heard a terrible roar split the air and heard a woman's shrill cry. The witch of Ptolemn, Mengara Atopoi, had followed her after all and stumbled across a manticore's lair in the rocky promontories north of the Andrevos wilderness.

Lis ran to the noise, seeing the monster stalking the witch, whom had hastily summoned lightning between her hands. Lis could see signs of a nest in the cleft of the rock and shouted, "You're near her young! Back away slowly you fool, drop your hands and walk backwards to me!"

Mengara complied, easing away from the protective mother. The manticore slowly sat.
