Trapped in the Tower of Orthanc by the Ents, who were destroying the foundries, industry, and Orcs left at Isengard, Saruman would go to the roof of Orthanc and play what would be his final jam session. With his typical strength, will, and precision, Saruman unleashed bass riffs that Middle-earth had never heard—and felt. It was as if he were summoning earthquakes from all around Middle-earth. It was an epic serenade that, even from far-off places, creatures of Middle-earth came to listen, despite all the death and destruction Saruman had caused. He would die the next day, but until then, his epic bass riffs would fill the night air.
