She scanned the bar, looking for her next conquest. She was 20 and beautiful, and she knew how to use her charms. She had a knack for getting men to buy her drinks, especially the expensive ones from the cocktail menu.
She spotted him, the perfect target for tonight. He was tall, dark, fit and handsome, and he seemed to have no problem splurging on drinks. She smiled to herself, imagining how she would seduce him and make him hers.
She was about to make her move, when she saw a blonde woman approach him from behind and tap his shoulder. She felt a surge of annoyance and jealousy, as she watched him turn around and smile at the intruder.
“Oh, sorry, I thought you were someone else!” The blonde said, in a fake apologetic tone.
She knew that line was a cheap trick to get his attention, and she hated that someone else had used it before her. How dare she steal her thunder?
She decided to act fast, before the blonde could make any more moves.
