The Cathedral Boys Are Off Duty - Stone Cold Weekend Partiers 63 monthly
Humans believed gargoyles spent every night silently guarding ancient cathedrals
That was adorable
The truth was far less dignified
The second the city clocks struck midnight, the stone guardians abandoned their dramatic rooftop poses and gathered for what they called “Off Duty Hours.” Pizza boxes appeared. Game controllers emerged from nowhere. Somebody always brought questionable energy drinks
The loud one laughed hard enough to shake dust from the ceiling beams
The competitive one accused everyone of cheating
& the oldest gargoyle in the group still rage-quit every game invented after 1423
By sunrise, they returned to their perches overlooking the city, pretending to be eternal symbols of gothic mystery and terror.
Meanwhile, hidden deep inside the cathedral, the smell of pepperoni and bad decisions still lingered in the air.
