I honestly don't know how to thank you.....you made me cry! I am just a little nobody ....a family member who is actually an artist got me hooked on here, but she has never won yet herself...and I could not have figured out how to use this by myself! We live in the wilderness in Canada and none of us have cell phones here cause our reception is not good. We share one laptop so often squabble over who gets time on the website, overall this place has brought us together and it really has improved our isolation and mental health. tyvm for your help again, Im not the best at getting to know people, but its just my own fault my social anxiety even gets to me behind the computer screen...overthinking stuff...what I say etc... bit hard to explain Im weird as dirt 😁 🙇 🖤 💕
Some of us are best in the “by my self” state while others are as chatty a Walmart greeters that chew your ears off.one ↗️ is really no better or worse than the other. I am one of those types to the extreme Technical corner and we tend to be only interested our own work. It’s not that i a, an introvert; but, I tend to be more comfortable with people that I have been around enough to understand their likes, dislikes, and how they think . The last 25years of my worklife were spent as a managing technical consultant and project manager on ERP projects. Every 6 mos to a year, you found yourself on a different project working with totally new people. It was as bad as starting a new job every 6 months. I hide to force myself out of hiding because PMs need to deal with every one up to corporate CIOs and a few CEOs at times.
Now that I am retired, I take comfort not retuning back to my old state; but, taking my time meeting and talking with others.
So I understand the anxiety one might have without really knowing what the feel. The best thing is that you are in an artistic environment with likeminded people who can be critical, supportive, helpful and totally empathic. Each person you meet here will help to breakdown the anxiety you may feel and before you know it you will strike up new friendships as if it were a normal thing throughout your entire life.
