"Don't come back after this. It's better if you leave us be."
Quinn tried his hardest not to flinch when he felt Hunter's hand at his hip in response to his harsh words. Instead, he swallowed all his anger and anxiety and then continued with his charade, flashing a false smile for the cameras and the crowds and whispered venomously his husband's way as they walked.
"Smile, they're all watching us. Here's the happy couple or so they say. Shall we tell them our secret to happiness then? A-"
"No. Rosen, I will always come back for you." Hunter warned and the bard tittered at the use of his truename. The anxiety was coming back in full force, eating at his eyes and limbs as Hunter kissed tenderly at his brow and grinned sadly. "I love you, Rosen."
A sick, pallid dread settled over his heart, eternally wounded but he didn't dare to show Hunter that he was on his last life. So he did was he did best. He lied and used his truename as well.
"But I don't, Landon. Not anymore."
