Yep. It's a risk. Once you allow electricity into the mix, anything can short circuit.  Interesting image though. Great costume. A bit Cthulhu-forward, it seems to me. 

Thanks a lot. As usual, this piece is deeply layered and autobiographical. It would take too long to explain fully, but I’d say it examines the relationship between toxic positivity (my family’s favorite religion) and capitalism—how a decent person can turn into a monster of consumption, convinced they stand above nature.

OH, OK.  "Toxic Positivity" is an interesting term.  Sounds like a variant of Cotton & Increase Mather's philosophy that if you are successful in obtaining money, that means God favors you, & therefore, the pursuit of more money is entirely justified because it's God's Will. Of course this leads to mega-abuses, and leads eventually to the Mega-Churches of today, which preach roughly the same thing, only in 21st Century Marketing gibberish. (God WANTS me to have a private jet.)
