What I like most in this render is that it's incredibly similar to the cover of one of the first Lovecraft anthologies I ever read -- paperback, of course.
As a t33n with a passion for horror, it was natural for me to start from H.P. Lovecraft -- and so I became familiar very soon with Cthulhu, Yogg-Sothoth, the Necronomicon and the fabled writings of the Mad Arab Abdul Alhazred.
Anyway, I had a whole lotta bunch of Cthulhu renders in my archive -- perfect for today.
