Molxaseph is the true mastermind of the rebuilding of Navanther, not Count Alistair Lestat. Through his contacts, cunning, intelligence he leads, no one knows he is a beholder. He uses Count Alistair as his puppet and communicates to Alistair through his pet ferret. Molxaseph is a truly ancient being and his knowledge is vast.
