A glowing ball of colour, a new luminous world, floated in the middle of nowhere, growing and growing, and in its innermost depths Bastian and Moonchild sat hand in hand, watching the wonderful spectacle with astonished eyes. The plants seemed inexhaustible, producing new shapes and colours. Bigger and bigger flower buds opened, richer and richer umbels sprouted. And all this growth took place in complete silence.
