Splashed!

I stood there shivering, soaking wet, and giggling as another wave soaked me from behind. As I got ready that morning, I thought to myself, this feels like fall. The jeans and sweater, jean jacket and boots. Not something I expected to wear in the middle of summer. It had just been hot, really hot for days. But after a bit of rain, it was cool today, like a fall afternoon. The drive north was only a coupe hours and we had several hours once we arrived before the show that evening. So looking for something to do, we headed to the beach. I hadn't thought about the beach! Once we got there it didn't take long for me to get soaked. I didn't even try to resist. The lake was cold and the wind and cool temperatures meant I was freezing once I got wet. But it was worth it. Playing in the waves, getting splashed, being in the water in all my clothes, it was delightful! I knew I'd be cold and wet the rest of the day, but I didn't care. This had been a pleasant surprise to start the trip!
