This, admittedly, is self-indulgent on my part 😄.
A few years ago, I wrote fanfiction about Tom being Harry's biological father with an original character of mine as his wife. This led to me exploring Tom as a character more as well as the possible relationship he might have had with baby Harry if they were father and son.
I think Tom would be an incredibly protective yet loving parent if given the chance. Especially, if he had a supportive and understanding partner to help balance his rather extreme tendencies.
