I’ve come across this sort. They are the only type of magic-maker that does not use the Four Spirits in their magic. Each individual shaman has its own system by which magic is practised, although I have found I can count on this, no matter its habitat: a shaman will have some knowledge of healing and a lot of knowledge about animals. Forest shamans such as this lady here often take on the form of wolves, which they do using the following spell:
I AM KIN WITH THE WOLF IN THE FORESTS OF SPRING;
I AM ONE WITH THE MOON ON A SUMMER NIGHT
I HUNT WITH THE PACK IN THE AUTUMN WIND;
I RUN TO MY DEN THROUGH THE WINTER SNOW.
I AM THE WOLF AND THE WOLF IS ME;
THE WOLF, MYSELF, AND I AM HE.
