Lie-in

Lore & Behavior: Lie-in is considered a strange omen in folklore, born in moments of great sorrow or at the collapse of once-proud kingdoms. Unlike normal cubs, he does not open his eyes; local shamans claim that if Lie-in ever fully awakens his sight, his tears will drown the world in frostfire. Though appearing frail, he carries himself with ritual dignity, walking as though rehearsing the steps of a dance from another life. Lie-in tends to mourn even in play, mewling soft cries that echo eerily at night. Despite this, he displays immense loyalty — choosing one companion or adventurer to follow, whispering his flame-born sorrow into their dreams. He never strikes first, but when threatened, the pale flame at his tail flares with surprising intensity, burning not with heat but with a chilling, ethereal frost that numbs both body and spirit.
