A planet wearing a ring of light.

A dark planet silhouetted inside a perfect ring of bent light — an Einstein ring. The ring is not really there. It is light from something far behind, pulled into a circle by the gravity of something in between — a galaxy bending light the way a lens bends it, except the lens is made of mass and dark.

This is a frame from my film 'The Sky Is Getting a Memory' — a movie about the archives we are building above the Earth.
