In Scottish and Irish folklore, a kelpie is a dangerous, shape-shifting water spirit that can appear as a horse or a human. Kelpies are said to live in the deepest parts of Scottish lochs, and are often described as having the strength of 100 horses. The Loch Ness Monster is one of the most famous kelpies.
Ooh.. Ooh.. Ooh! This gives me goosebumps in the best way! I alway thought of Ness as a mix between a Brachiosaurus and mythical horse. Love this image!
