“Commander, they don't know about metric,” said Fairbairn. She spent a lot of time in the Chambers Street Museum in Edinburgh and learned about Medieval measurements. “For them a meter is about a yard.”
“Thank you, Squadron Leader,” McClendon said. He turned back to Simon and the council. “We would like to clear an area of thirty yards around the village. It will help us have a clear light of sight if the Lady's troops attack the village.”
“She has troops?” Simon asked.
