I will start from Palermo(*), Sicily. One of the most beautiful cities I've ever seen, set in the "Conca d'Oro" (Golden Bowl) between mountains at the back and the wonderful Tirrenian Sea in front. Chock-full of monuments, churches, palaces, markets, even catacombs...
