I arrive in Venice with a checklist and a charging cable. Ten countries in three days — that’s the plan. No time to drift. The Grand Canal explodes in gold before sunset, palaces glowing like they’ve waited centuries just for my thirty-seven minutes. 📸

I photograph everything. Gondola. Dome. Reflection. Done.

It feels epic — compressed history, Renaissance to espresso in one breath. I tell myself this is efficiency, modern pilgrimage at high speed. ⏳

Yet as the boat pulls away, I glimpse the basilica burning softly in evening light. For a second, I almost stop.
