This scene is the culmination of the first meeting between Lady Sirina Greysdottir, from the perspective of her future fiance, the gallant knight Sir Owain Vaestro. Their meeting was a happy coincidence; this private beach belongs to the Emir of Al Colszar, Lord Tulgarn, who is hosting a large international celebration for his eldest son Gerrant's marriage to Lady Greysdottir's cousin Amanda Valkir. As a courtesy to his guests, Lord Tulgarn opened the beach for their enjoyment. His agemts were supposed to ensure that only one party was on the beach at a given time to avoid any incidents, but they double booked beach time to Lady Greysdottir's entourage and Sir Vaestro's party simultaneously. Owain & Sirina met to discuss a solution. Owain gallantly offered to vacate his party, but Sirina would have none of it. She invited him back to her group on the beach, which he gladly accepted.
